Climax manufactures set screw collars and clamping collars. We also customize dimensions, add keyways, offer balanced collars, provide specialized plating, and manufacture from a variety of materials.

Set Screw Collars are the most commonly used and cost effective shaft collars. The holding power of a set screw collar is provided by the impingement of the screw into the shaft. Lightweight styles are available for an application that has a space constraint. If additional load capacity is required, Climax provides a set screw collar line with a second screw at 90°. Set screw collars are also available with a keyway for keyed shafts.

Clamp Collars are designed in a one-piece or two-piece style. They provide additional holding power over set screw collars and do not mar the shaft.

One-Piece Clamp Collars are designed with one tangential screw to handle applications that require a greater axial load capacity than set screw collars. Recessed screw styles of one-piece clamp collars are available to provide safety with an outside surface free of major projections. Special design end-stop collars fit over rail assemblies on precision shafting.

Two-Piece Clamp Collars are designed with two tangential screws to handle applications that require greater axial load capacity than set screw and one-piece clamping collars. A two-piece clamp collar can be installed without any major disassembly of the other components. Recessed screw styles of two-piece clamping collars are available to provide safety with an outside surface free of major projections. Two-piece clamp collars can also be manufactured with a keyway for keyed shafts. Special design double-wide two-piece clamping collars can be used for high axial load applications, and they are also ideal for areas that are too constrained for a full-size shaft coupling.

Threaded Clamp Collars provide a greater amount of axial holding capacity on threaded shafts. The design fully engages the thread for secure locking. Recessed screw styles of threaded clamp collars are available to provide safety with an outside surface free of major projections.
